# Known issues:
1. Anti-Virus erroneously detects COE as a possible threat:
This is a known issue with anti-virus software. You can read more about the
on the Release Site,
[here](http://overture.au.dk/into-cps/site/simulation/antivirus.html). A
guide on how to exclude applications/processes can be found
[here](http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5924-windows-defender-exclusions-add-remove-windows-10-a.html).
# COE is being detected as a threat by anti-virus software!
Do not be alarmed. This is unfortunately a more and more common problem with
modern anti-virus software. They detect far to many false positives.
The software development community suffer quite a lot from this issue, and if
you wish to read a bit more about it, then here a couple of relevant blog
articles:
* [Antivirus companies cause a big headache to small developers](http://blog.nirsoft.net/2009/05/17/antivirus-companies-cause-a-big-headache-to-small-developers/)
* [Antivirus software reports Steam games are malicious](https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4361-MVDP-3638)
## How to stop your anti-virus software treating COE as a threat
Most anti-virus software has a way of excluding executable, processes or even
directories from anti-virus protection. Below is a link link to a guide explaining
how to exclude software from Windows Defender in Windows 10. If you use
a different version of Windows or different anti-virus software then please
refer to that products manual or customer support.
