# Roles and Relationships
In this design blog post we identify the different roles and relationships of our project using the model presented in *The Design Way: Intentional Change in an Unpredictable World* (Nelson & Stolterman, 2003).
*Simple sketch of the roles and relationships model*
## Roles
-**Designer:** We consider ourselves to be the designers on this project, however, we hope to include the students and maybe even the teachers in a codesign process.
-**Producers:** For this project we will produce and build the design ourselves.
-**Stockholders:** Ourselves due to the time and effort we invest into the project.
-**End Users:** Could be either the students, the teachers or the parents depending on the design we chose to work with.
-**Clients:** The schools because we are working within the field of EduTech and intend to design a product for educational use in school.
-**Customers:** The schools or the parents depending on our design.
-**Stakeholders:** When considering stakeholders we consider who potentially has something to either gain or lose from the design. In other words - who will be impacted by the design. Here we believe that the students, the teachers and the parents could all potentially be impacted by our design.
-**Decision Makers:** The Ministry of Education since they set the learning goals as well as the schools since they influence how the material is taught.
## Relationships
Our initial focus will be on the relationship between designers, end users, clients and stakeholders.
-**Designers/End Users:** We have chosen to put our main focus on the relationship between ourselves as designers and the end users. This is due to the fact that we will be working closely together with the end users. We will be both observing and interviewing the end users and we hope to include the end users in a codesign process.
-**Clients:** At the same time it is important to us that we have a good relationship and maintain good communication with the school as a client in order to consider their inputs and desires towards the design.
-**Stakeholders:** At all times during the design process we must carefully consider the impact of our design choices for each stakeholder in the project.
